Welcome
1.1. Thank you for using ScoutSwap. ScoutSwap operates a website named 'ScoutSwap', available via https://www.scoutswap.co.uk (the 'website', 'site') that facilitates users trading Scouting badges, neckers ('scarves', 'neckies', 'neckers') and other Scouting-related items ('Scouting items') ('ScoutSwap Service') ('Service').
1.2. The ScoutSwap Service is provided by ScoutSwap ('ScoutSwap', 'we', 'our' or 'us').
1.3. The Rules of Trading informs Website visitors about the regulations surrounding your use of the Service and Scouting items you wish to trade.
1.4. All uses of the Service are expected to follow these rules.
Posting items
2.1. All Scouting items uploaded to the site must contain:
 • a title;
 • a photo of the item, taken by You;
 • a description of the item;
2.2. You are responsible for ensuring you have authorisation to trade your Scouting item(s). We hold no responsibility for Scouting item(s) traded that cannot be recovered.
2.3. Titles, descriptions, tags or photos cannot be misleading. For example, You cannot claim that an item is from the 1st World Scout Jamboree when it is only from the 1st World Scout Jamboree hosted in the USA.
2.4. All information about your Scouting item(s) must be accurate.
2.5. When You post a Scouting item, we use your IP address in order to give a rough estimate of your country for other Service Users. We hold no responsibility for this location being inaccurate or not available.
The trading process
3.1. Both Users must be in agreement for a trade to be recognised by the Service. Only when both Users have agreed can the trade begin.
3.2. The Service requires both Users to send photos of the Scouting item(s) at various stages. These stages are:
 • before the trade has started;
 • when the Scouting item has been packaged for sending, including the address and stamp (or equivalent);
 • when the Scouting item has been sent for delivery (Postbox sent from, delivery receipt, tracking page);
 • upon receipt of the Scouting item;
Do NOT continue with the next stage until both Users have had their photos of the previous stage approved.
3.3. The Service will request in each a photo there to be a specific item. These items will be common household items, such as: a pen, knife, water bottle, playing card, coat hanger etc. The photo will then be sent for approval by an administrator. If the item is not present, it may be rejected. If you have difficulties with an item, please contact us.
3.4. Both Users will be required to send a photo of the received item and confirm that it was as expected. If an item is not as expected, this can either be settled civily between each User or it can be reported to an Administrator, who can take appropriate action.
Please note: We cannot force users to send the correct item. ScoutSwap hold no liability for incorrect trades on the platform.
3.5. Throughout the trade, there may be sensitive information shared between Users, such as addresses and full names. ScoutSwap hold no liability for information shared from these messages.
If someone shares information about You, please report it to an Administrator, and if neccessary your local authorities.
